Car Chargers
Why you should get an EV Charger?
Currently the government is set to ban sales of any vehicle that is not electric by the year 2030. This means after 2030 all purchased vehicles will need chargers installed sooner or later. Luckily the government is paying part of the costs for installing EV chargers but with every year they are decreasing that amount. That’s why its beneficial to have an EV charger even though you might not have an electric vehicle yet.
Why not use Charging Stations or Wall plug Charger
Charging from a house socket – Although it is an option, charging a car battery this way is very slow and could overload some of the house circuits a specially if there is more power hungry equipment plugged in at the same time. Its also worth remembering that car battery capacity is getting bigger for longer range, which requires increasingly long charging time on this sort of chargers.
Charging Stations – Two of the biggest draw backs are Cost and Availability. The cost of charging at home is considerably lower. You could choose energy suppliers that are offering lower rates for electricity usage at night, when most Vehicles are left to charge. Charging stations could be either far away or occupied with people leaving their cars on charge, even after their vehicle is charged. Although charging at a station is already more expensive then charging at home, the companies could always further increase their prices as the demand for charging points increases.
